Juric hosts second Women’s Football Workshop

Football NSW Women’s Advanced Coach Education Manager Ante Juric hosted his second Women’s Football Workshop on Monday 15th of May at Valentine Sports Park.

The coaches were again able to get up close and personal to the Football NSW Institute Program as the Under 13’s were put through some ‘technical’ training as part of the practical component of the workshop.

The focus of the workshop was in two parts; the first topic discussing ‘modern football and trends’, which lead into part two which focussed on ‘Technique’, and how to successfully teach and coach it.

On the pitch, the Football NSW Institute girls showcased the technical skills they possess whilst being put through their paces by Juric, who introduced varied methods of teaching technique.

“These workshops have been a great way to engage with all these coaches who put in such great effort and time teaching and coaching football to our females, who play and love the game.

“The interaction and discussions that haven been had thus far are the most pleasing aspects of these workshops.

“The coaches clearly enjoy that they coach and obviously want to learn, gain more knowledge and listen to coaching experiences to optimise personal development.”

The next presentation will be planned for late June and it will look at the topic of ‘coaching tactics and playing styles’.

The practical sessions and presentation will be complimented by utilising the talented Football NSW Institute players at Valentine Sports Park.

Dates will be confirmed in due course.
