Hornsby Heights FC celebrate Girls Football Day

A true appreciation of Girls football was on show over the recent weekend, as Northern Suburbs Football Association’s Hornsby Heights Football Club hosted their Celebration of Girls’ Football Day at Montview Oval.

Over 300 enthusiastic players, coaches, managers and supporters of girls’ football took part in what was a sensational day for the game in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney.

The supporters in attendance made the most of a number of exciting activities on offer, including the ALDI MiniRoos shooting target which was set up by Football NSW.

“We could not have asked for a better day.

“The weather was amazing, the local community got behind the event and the atmosphere was electric.

“The success of the day was testament to our Club and its members who have really backed our female football program,” said Maxine Edwards, one of the event organisers.

“Thanks must also go to Football NSW, Northern Suburbs Football Association, the Northern Tigers Women's players and to Matt Kean, our local State MP, who came and supported the event.”
