Hundreds flock Blacktown Grassroots Coaching Expo

Blacktown Football Park was a hive of activity as over 150 promising coaches from the Blacktown Football Association area took part in the Football NSW/FFA Grassroots Coaching Expo that was held on Tuesday 11th of March.

The evening was heralded a great success as BDSFA Technical Director Darren Graham praised the event which was assisted by FFA’s Kean Marshall and Football NSW’s Oscar Gonzalez.

“With 153 coaches attending last night it shows that our coaches are moving forward and are becoming interested in coaching education” Graham said

Assisting with the evening’s proceedings was Western Sydney Wanderers star Mateo Poljak who chatted to the group and discussed his views on being a professional footballer as well as an interest in wanting to coach.

Hummel football gear was also distributed on the night as Plumpton/Oakhurst’s Diva Bell, Quakers Hill Juniors’ Brian O’Hagan, Newbury Bulls’ Kevin Yardin and Minchinbury Jets’ Michael Nathan all received either bibs, balls, cones and Pugg Goals for their respective club.
