Grassroots Expo heads West

07.04.2014

St Matthew’s Catholic School at Mudgee and Lady Cutler Oval at Dubbo played host to the Football NSW/FFA Grassroots Coaching Expo which took place on Sunday April 6th.

Wet weather played havoc with the closure of the Glen Willow Sporting Complex which resulted in St Matthew’s Catholic School getting the nod as 22 participants were treated to some expert coaching tips and more from the FFA’s Kean Marshall.

While at Dubbo, 45 participants attended the course as they were treated to information regarding MiniRoos as well as coaching players in targeted age groups amongst many other coaching tips.

The Grassroots Coaching Expo is aimed at addressing the rules of the game, stimulating coaches and parents to think about their behaviours, enjoying the game and developing a growth and mindset to coaching and teaching.

The Western Branch will play host to three more Grassroots Expos this week with the following scheduled:

April 11th Lithgow – Marjorie Jackson Oval

April 12th Bathurst – Proctor Park

April 13th Orange – Sir Jack Brabham Park
