Wagga join in on Female Football festivities

Female Football Week was alive and kicking in the major regional city of Wagga Wagga this week as over 350 primary school girls from various schools around the area came together for a Mini-Matildas Gala Day.

Teams played multiple matches throughout the day as well as taking in some skills and drills in what was a fantastic occasion for female football within the region.

One special guest that took part in the festivities was one of Wagga Wagga’s finest female football products, current Football NSW Institute and Western Sydney Wanderers goalkeeper Jada Mathyssen-Whyman.

The future Matildas number one spoke to all the girls as well as posed for photographs and signed autographs as she spread the football love to the young female football stars within the Wagga Wagga area.
