Football (7 a-side) has been officially part of the Paralympic program since the 1984 New York Paralympic Games. The sport is played predominantly by athletes with cerebral palsy with seven players on each side.

To be eligible to play football 7-a-side, a person must have cerebral palsy or an acquired brain injury and be able to walk and run sufficiently for the sport of football. it is with great pleasure that Football NSW has entered into partnership with The Cerebral Palsy Sporting and Recreation Association of New South Wales (CPSARA).

CPSARA offers a variety of sport and recreation activities to cater to people of all age groups with Cerebral Palsy and other neurological conditions. The sports include athletics, power lifting, football, swimming and cycling.

FNSW and CPSARA are thrilled to be working together to provide further opportunities to players with cerebral palsy (CP) and acquired brain injuries (ABI) to participation in football in NSW.
