FNSW Child Protection Training Requirements 2017

Football NSW is committed to the safety and welfare of all children and young people involved in football.

All coaches and managers must comply with the National Member Protection policy which includes the FFA Codes of Behaviour. Any breach of the National Member Protection policy, including the FFA Codes of Behaviour can result in disciplinary action by Football NSW and can be reported to Police and other authorities.

To meet Football NSW child protection training requirements for Season 2017, all coaches and managers registering for the teams listed below are required to complete the Play By the Rules on-line Child Protection training Course as outlined.

NO EXEMPTIONS

This is a mandatory requirement for all coaches and managers registering in the teams listed below in 2017.

There are no exemptions or recognition of prior learning applicable to this requirement.

U13, U14, U15, U16 teams

FNSW Skill Acquisition Program (SAP)

U9, U10, U11, U12 teams

FNSW Girl’s Skill Acquisition Program (Girl’s SAP)

U10, U12 team

 

ON-LINE CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING 

TO COMPLETE THE TRAINING COURSE

The course is free and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete through the PBTR website.

STEP 1   Enter the On-line training portal click here   (https://learning.ausport.gov.au/auth/login/?returnUrl=%2F\)

STEP 2   Log in by entering your Username and Password.    If you are new to the site, select Register and enter your details and select your sport as Football (soccer) and then log in.

STEP 3   Log in then select the Browse Learning tab at the top of the page, go to Page 2 of the course list, then select ‘PBTR - Child Protection’ course.  

STEP 4   Complete the course and the assessment then save and print the Certificate.

STEP 5   Email the course Certificate to reception@footballnsw.com.au and include the following:

§  Name

§  Date of Birth

§  FFA Number

§  Club Name

§  Position

§  Attach the PBTR course Certificate

Once your email and certificate are received, your training compliance will be noted by our competitions department at time of processing your ID card.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1.      There are NO EXEMPTIONS to this requirement.

2.      Attending a CP or WWK Seminar previously does not exempt a person from this requirement.

3.      Receiving an exemption previously does not exempt a person from this requirement.

4.      Only PBTR Child Protection training certificates dated 2015, 2016 or 2017 will be accepted.

5.      ID cards will not be issued until a PBTR child protection course Certificate has been received.

The WWC Check is separate to this On-line Child Protection training requirement.  WWC Numbers are not required by FNSW and must be provided to your club.
